Z-SUITE now supports 3MF (3D Manufacturing Format) alongside widely used formats like .STL, .OBJ, and .DXF.

The 3MF format is specifically designed for 3D printing, containing comprehensive model information in a single archive. Unlike other file formats, 3MF eliminates unnecessary data, ensuring a more efficient and optimized printing process.

Better Support for DXF Files

That’s not all when it comes to file formats. The .DXF format has been enhanced with improved geometry reading, making it more accessible and reliable in Z-SUITE.

New and Improved Infill Options

The infill types have been revamped for better print durability and structural quality.

• Infill density improvements ensure stronger, more robust models.

• The Maximum infill setting now offers greater density, enhancing the overall print strength.

• Infill names have been updated for clarity:

  • Low (previously Light)

  • Medium (unchanged)

  • High (previously Solid)

  • Maximum (previously Full)

• The Random Seam feature is now available in Shell Mode, significantly reducing visible seams for smoother surfaces.

• On Mac OSX, the slicing time has been noticeably reduced, allowing for faster model processing.

Dynamic View – Better Control Over Printing

A new Dynamic View feature offers greater insight into the printing process.

• Users can now slide the progress bar to check:

  • Estimated print time

  • Amount of filament used

• This feature is now available in Pause Mode, providing real-time updates during printing.

Hotkeys – Faster and More Efficient Workflow

Z-SUITE is now even more user-friendly, with a long list of keyboard shortcuts designed to speed up basic actions.

• Hotkeys are available in both Windows and Mac OSX versions.

• Improved license visibility – Project licenses are now displayed in a popover, making it easier to review terms at a glance.
